Jewelry Week: art, emotion, opulence, and new awareness

I'm writing to you from the small corner of this regal hall, a corner that housed my jewelry during these three days of exhibition at Milano Jewelry Week. I want to highlight the beauty and majesty of the rooms compared to my own corner, because that's how I felt: a small speck in a sea of art. The exhibition was a true immersion in the world of jewelry, a world that gives space to art and emotion, and I'm honored to have been a part of it. Thanks to this experience, I've taken home many insights, some new, some to be consolidated:

  • Every experience must be lived to better understand the true path we want to take and who will truly be by our side as we face the journey;
  • Not everyone will understand your art and that's normal;
  • Often all that glitters is not gold;
  • Do what you love with passion and consistency and over time you will reap the rewards (omnia cum tempore);
  • Don't change to please others, EVER!

Before concluding this little excursus on my experience and telling you about my pieces, I want to leave you with a sentence:

" Experience is not what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you ."

Aldous Huxley

Experiences can be good or bad, but you always have to embrace the best and move forward on the right path. Now I want to tell you about my pieces, because with my brand I want to spread my art, regardless of any type of event. With this in mind, I wanted to create new pieces that embody what the art of jewelry has taught me and what I want to convey to you.

The Earrings: MELTING PERFECTIONISM

These earrings are an evolution of the Fluid Thoughts earrings; I conceived them as a signature for the brand, the starting point: the geometric shape distorted from its ideal of perfection. In this case, the rhombus dissolves and retains the most brilliant parts (the stones) in the casting, while the perfection of the geometric shape dissolves. The art of jewelry, despite its technicalities, taught me to break away from conventions and excessive perfectionism, to freely express what's inside me, to understand that the beauty of the piece and the soul of its creator reside in artisanal imperfection. Thus, it is precisely in dissolved perfectionism that art and emotion shine, that one can freely express who one is, since nothing and no one can give us any rules on how to be ourselves.

The Ring: INNER GLEAM

Although inspired by my previous rings, with hints of sinuous movement, stones always placed at an angle, and ever-present stars, Inner Gleam was born as a ring symbolizing personal rebirth, as well as a motivation to continue with this project, even when everything seems dark. Craftsmanship was a difficult choice for me, a true leap into the unknown. If you've read my profile on the website, you'll know that creativity has always been a part of me, but I've always been afraid to bring it out, to experience it as a job and a daily part of my life. During a time when I didn't know what to choose in life, what career to do, which path to follow, when I felt lost and completely down, this art helped me lift myself up and not hide what I love to do. The waves of this ring, in fact, represent these ups and downs: the most luminous stones reside right at the bottom. Having a brand isn't easy, there are many bad moments, but we must learn that those are the ones that help us get back up, because even in the darkness our inner light always shines.

I hope you enjoyed this little article. I pray that you can always believe in your dreams, that even though you often see everything in bleak light, you can find the little light within, that you can always be yourself without any written rules, but with the awareness of always freely revealing your soul.

SVEVA✨
