ABOUT MY

Hi, I'm very happy to see you here!

My name is Sveva and I created “MIND YOURS” to give vent to the creativity that has always characterized me. I admit, my journey does not start from jewelry, but from marketing and communication, passes through fashion and ends in craftsmanship and goldsmithing. Well yes, I have always had an artistic streak, but I only brought it out in my room, maybe making jewelry with beads, clay or crocheted clothes. I have never fully managed to bring that passion of mine out of that room, partly because of my fears and insecurities about the future, partly because of the judgments, partly because I didn't feel up to it. Once I finished my studies and explored some work fields, I understood that I was missing something, that that creative streak had been repressed too much and needed to come out. So I signed up for a goldsmithing and wax modeling course and learned the art of creating jewelry. Creating each single piece from the model, to the casting, to the finishing, I understood that the right path was the one that scared me the most and that I needed to follow it to feel like myself again.

Why “Mind Yours”

Mind yours would be the abbreviation of “mind your business”, which literally means minding your own business. This saying contains the word mind and often the mind hinders us from doing many things, seeks perfection or makes us think too much about other people's opinions. At least for me it was like that! This meaning therefore contains in itself a bit of what I see in myself, that is, a mind that sometimes requires perfection and a “yours” that is a bit of the personal sphere, imperfect, sometimes irrational. All this means that in life the best thing is to think about yourself, ask yourself fewer questions, act and if someone asks you something or criticizes you tell them: mind yours !

I have always had a great passion for fashion and I have always thought that even the simplest outfit could shine with the right accessory. For me, jewelry is this, a way to express yourself, to bring out your taste, to feel comfortable with what you wear. I like to think that they are an ornament that makes us unique: empty rooms have different sizes but they are similar, it is who adds the furniture that makes them unique. Having told my story, I would like those who wear these jewels to learn to fight their fears, to get out of their comfort zones, to create the right combination between the rational part and the most imaginative part of themselves.
